So, either Humax has shot itself in the foot, you have not yet found the right settings or your box is not working correctly. My Tvonics HD500, which definitely conforms to the 0.5W EU regulations (takes long time to power up compared to the Humaxes), also allows passthrough. My Humax 9200, HD Fox-T2 and HDR Fox-T2 all allow aerial signal passthrough.
